A new project from South 啵啵直播秀 State University's College of Education and Human Sciences and SDSU Extension will work in collaboration with local farmers to fight hunger in South 啵啵直播秀.

Snyder shares trombone expertise during trip to Cuba

A South 啵啵直播秀 State University faculty member shared his love of the trombone and jazz music earlier this semester in a part of the world that not many people will ever experience firsthand. For the third time in his music career, the School of Performing Arts鈥 Bradley Snyder, instructor of low brass, traveled to Cuba to perform for, educate and learn from students, teachers and professional musicians.

Headley, Schaefer tabbed as SDSU Distinguished Engineers

An internationally recognized geotechnical engineer and the director of the Sanford Underground Research Facility have been selected as the 2024 Distinguished Engineers at South 啵啵直播秀 State University. Vernon Schaefer and Mike Headley will be honored at the April 23 Engineering Scholarship Banquet at Club 71 in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium.

Jackrabbits Forensics to highlight work in 鈥楴ight Before Nationals鈥

Jackrabbits Forensics team members at South 啵啵直播秀 State University will highlight their favorite work of the season before they leave for their national competition in early April. The Night Before Nationals showcase is set for 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the South 啵啵直播秀 Art Museum lecture hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Pharmaceutical sciences faculty receives Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring 啵啵直播秀

College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions faculty member Joshua Reineke is the latest recipient of the South 啵啵直播秀 State University Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring 啵啵直播秀. Reineke was named recipient of the award at the 2024 Celebration of Faculty Excellence in February.

Students prepare to be 鈥榳orkforce ready鈥 in new partnership

South 啵啵直播秀 State University students are participating in a new program designed to prepare them for their careers while marketing the Brookings community as a place to live and work beyond graduation. The SDSU Office of Career Development and the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce developed a free, four-session 鈥淲ork Ready Bootcamp鈥 to provide real-world training and encourage SDSU students to pursue careers in the Brookings community.

Public Health Day to put focus on postpartum depression

Postpartum depression affects 15% of all childbearing women, and up to 10% will experience depression or anxiety during pregnancy. Those numbers make it a rather common experience, yet the conditions remain a stigma for many, according to Stephanie Hanson, who is organizing Public Health Day presentations at South 啵啵直播秀 State University to raise awareness and offer hope to those who have experienced postpartum depression. The free presentations are April 2 and include a lunch hour message by Hanson as well as a keynote address by a leading authority for postpartum mental health. In the evening, there will be a screening of a documentary followed by a panel discussion.

Termespheres exhibit opens at South 啵啵直播秀 Art Museum

The South 啵啵直播秀 Art Museum at South 啵啵直播秀 State University will open its newest exhibition, 鈥淭ermespheres: Without Beginning or End,鈥 with a free public reception and artist talk from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, March 23. Artist Dick Termes will speak at 6 p.m., discussing the spherical paintings in this exhibition, known as Termespheres, and his process for creating them.
