Kirsten Engeseth

Instructor of Natural Resource Management

Biography

My work is driven by the innate connection between people and the environment. Rather than studying nature and its immense resources from an outside perspective, we must see ourselves as an integral part of the ecosystem.

I have a B.A. from Michigan State University, where I studied foreign languages and international social geography before pivoting to biology and ecology. I received my B.S. in fisheries, wildlife and conservation biology at the University of Minnesota, and my master's degree in natural resource management in the biology track is from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway.

I have worked for nonprofits, governments and education in my capacity as a natural resource management specialist and ecologist in numerous states and countries around the world. I love to chat about the vast opportunities there are in this wonderful field, so don't hesitate to send an email or pop into my office to say hello if natural resource management sounds like it might be for you!
