Lead State Coach and Assessor
Biography
Maria Picek has been part of the Child and Family Resource Network since September 2020, starting as a Quality Recognition and Information System coach. She now serves as the state lead coach and assessor for Quality Care South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã initiative.
Picek brings a strong background in early childhood education, with hands-on experience as a resource teacher, toddler teacher and lead teacher in a K-prep classroom. She also mentored new staff members throughout the child care center.
Anchored in all four Environment Rating Scales, Picek provides training on these tools to early childhood professionals across the early child enrichment system. She is passionate about supporting child care providers and school-age programs as they work toward building and sustaining quality practices. In addition to her state-level work, Picek supervises and supports other coaches within Region 4.
