Former, current and future public servants gathered April 9 to celebrate the creation of the Mike Huether Public Service Academy at South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University.

Jeremiah Bergstrom, lecturer of landscape architecture in the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University School of Design, has received a top award from the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for a collaborative project on rising floodwaters.

The South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Board of Regents approved requests by South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University on May 9 to add two new academic programs in elementary education and special education. The programs were then approved by the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Department of Education, May 22 so they may officially launch next fall.

In March, they shared their undergraduate research with those gathered at the mass meeting of the American Physical Society in Las Vegas. It is an international gathering with more than 10,000 participants.
