The South ��ֱ���� Art Museum and Brookings Arts Council invite visitors to their final Community Art Day of the year on Saturday, Dec. 7. This free event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South ��ֱ���� Art Museum, located at 1036 Medary Ave. in Brookings.

Brookings, home to South ��ֱ���� State University, is the second most affordable college town in the U.S., according to a WalletHub study. In WalletHub’s “2025 Best College Towns in America,” factors including housing costs, cost of higher education and student loan debt per person, among others, were considered.

The public is invited to “An Evening with Jeffrey Rosen,” set for 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Larson Memorial Concert Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the South ��ֱ���� State University campus. Rosen, a noted legal scholar, is president and CEO of the National Constitution Center and a professor of law at the George Washington University Law School. At SDSU, he will present “The History and Future of the American Idea.”

Former, current and future public servants gathered April 9 to celebrate the creation of the Mike Huether Public Service Academy at South ��ֱ���� State University.
