Healthcare Simulation Research Symposium
The Healthcare Simulation Research Symposium supports excellence in healthcare simulation education and research. The symposium will be held on Sept. 16, 2025. This year's theme is Mastering the Future: Building Expertise with Simulation.
Keynote Speaker
University of Alabama School of Nursing Associate Dean for Technology and Innovation Penni Watts, Ph.D., RN, CHSE-A, FNAP, ANEF, FSSH, FAAN will be the keynote speaker. Watts oversees all simulation programs in her role. She has been instrumental in the integration of clinical simulation experiences as well as interprofessional simulation experiences across multiple programs on campus. Watts is a fellow in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), holds a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator-Advanced (CHSE-A), and has 18 years of simulation experience with training from the Center for Medical Simulation and the Debriefing Academy. She is president-elect of INACSL and has served on the standards committee and the CHSE-A subcommittee for SSH.
