Title: On the playground with trains
Child quotes:
鈥淚鈥檓 gonna draw the playground. So there鈥檚 a tunnel.鈥
鈥淣ow I鈥檓 gonna draw my best friend.鈥
鈥淭here鈥檚 a four seesaw鈥
鈥淚 even have trains.鈥
鈥淭his is a remote controller and a gun.鈥
Family Feedback:
鈥淒aniel plays 鈥榯rains鈥 everywhere 鈥 he usually has a small train in his pocket wherever he goes. We are on playgrounds around the FNSB [Fairbanks Borough] daily.鈥
Daniel's mother writes that he usually plays with his siblings or neighborhood friends and that 鈥渢here is a small group of young kids around the neighborhood.鈥 She also writes that he plays trains outside during the 鈥渨armer months.鈥 鈥淗e draws tracks with chalk and plays, or in his room or living room floor with its foul out.鈥
She writes that he plays trains 鈥渄aily! We are at the playgrounds, parks, etc. all summer after school, etc. When it gets cold we head to Birch Hill, Children鈥檚 Museum, etc.鈥
鈥淗e has absorbed everything there is to know about trains 鈥 names of engines, where they travel, history, mechanics, etc. He is often heard role playing with his trains on the driveway by neighbors. It鈥檚 pretty cute and fun to listen.鈥
