Creating Blog Posts
If you want to create blog posts, feature stories, or keep your newsletters organized in one place, starting a department blog can be a great solution.
Steps to Add a Blog Post
- Log in to sdstate.edu.
- Click on Content under Manage.
- Click Add Content.
- Click Blog.
- Fill in Title and Author.
- Choose your Blog Category.
- Add Summary, which shows up on the listing page with other blogs.
- Fill in Body with text, images and videos as you wish.
- Add Tags.
- Saving the page: From drop-down next to "Change to:" choose:
- Ready For Review: If it is ready to be published.
- Pages will be reviewed and approved within 24 hours.
- The web services team will review for improper coding, AP style and other content governance factors.
- In Progress: If you are still editing and not ready to publish changes.
- Ready For Review: If it is ready to be published.
Important Considerations
You must reach out to websupport for initial blog landing page set up.
Make sure you choose your blog category in the drop down for it to show on your particular blog.
