  • Shafeeqa, Ting and Ifra presented their research at the Great Plains Subsection Minnesota-Institute of Food Technologists poster competition, where Shafeeqa won second prize for her presentation.
  • Shafeeqa, Ifra and Ezgi attended the 2024 Higher Education Challenge Communication Conference in Sioux Falls.
  • Ezgi presented her research at the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã Discovery Centre, Pierre, as part of her science communication fellowship program.
  • Ezgi received the 2024 Delbert and Robert Breazeale Memorial à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã.
  • Ting received the John Brandt Memorial Scholarship from the Land O'Lakes Foundation, which awarded $20,000.
  • Akshit got his master's degree from Mohan's lab. His thesis was on nanobubble technology: properties in water, model milk protein solution, and dairy processing wastewater streams.
  • Akshit received first prize in the Institute of Food Technologists Dairy Food Division, Graduate Student Oral Competition 2024.
  • Ting received 2024 American Dairy Science Association travel grant.
  • In the 2024 dairy product judging competition held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ifra achieved first place for both yogurt and butter and secured third place in the cheddar cheese category.
  • Akshit is an active player in the SDSU men's club volleyball team, and the team has won the 2024 championship.
  • Akshit received the Minnesota-Institute of Food Technologists Graduate Scholarship 2023-24.
