The Voice of Your Fellow Residents

Hall Government

Students crafting at a program

In addition to the Residence Hall Association, you are also a member of your own residence hall government. Each community elects representatives and officers to serve the hall government. Through regular meetings, they plan activities, facilitate improvements to services and facilities and represent residents at the hall level. Your hall government will welcome your involvement and is anxious to hear ideas about what you would like to see happen in your hall.

Gain experience with:

  • Budgeting skills
  • Programming skills
  • Networking skills
  • Teamwork skills

Each hall government hosts their own programs. Some include a hog roast, volleyball tournament and haunted houses!

Residence Hall Programming Council

The Residence Hall Programming Council is a dynamic student-led organization dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for those who call the residence halls home. Open to all residents, the council brings energy and excitement to campus life through a variety of large-scale, welcoming events — ranging from live shows featuring comedians, hypnotists and mentalists to festive celebrations like Hobo Night Live and National Chocolate Day. If you love event planning, have a knack for logistics, enjoy interacting with future celebrities, or just want to have a great time making people smile, the Residence Hall Programming Council is the place for you.
