Career fair attendance tops 1,000 again

For the second consecutive year, student visits at the Engineering Career Fair topped 1,000, this time being a record 1,086 visits. The 2024 mark was 1,001.
The Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering Career Fair was Sept. 17-18 at Club 71 and loge-level spaces in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on the South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã State University campus.
The 2025 student-visit count includes 94 students who came both days, making for 992 unique students attending. With a fall enrollment of 1,741 students, that means 57% of the college’s students attended the career fair.
The two-day fair was divided by major. For example, 162 civil engineering students and 145 construction management students were part of Day 1, when there were 449 student visits. On Day 2, there were 300 mechanical engineering students on hand with a total head count of 637.
There were 104 recruiters on hand for Day 1, with 101 there for Day 2. While only 20 employers stayed for both days, 185 employers were on campus recruiting SDSU engineering students. More than half of them were alumni (61 on Day 1 and 55 on Day 2).
