Curtis Chin, a critically acclaimed Chinese American writer, producer and director, will be on the South 啵啵直播秀 State University campus Thursday, Oct. 24, to screen his documentary films and to discuss his award-winning memoir.

Rocky Dailey, professor in South 啵啵直播秀 State University鈥檚 School of Communication and Journalism, will have parts three and four of his documentary series, 鈥淰oices of the Prairie: A History of Broadcasting in South 啵啵直播秀,鈥� shown on South 啵啵直播秀 Public Broadcasting.

A new art exhibition that explores the intersection of science, art and intuition will open Thursday, Oct. 24, in Lincoln Hall, located on the South 啵啵直播秀 State University campus.

Mezzo-soprano Emily Wood Toronto will present a faculty recital on Monday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Founders Recital Hall in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the South 啵啵直播秀 State University campus.

South 啵啵直播秀 State University Theatre and Dance will kick off its 2024-25 season with the wonky comedy 鈥淔uddy Meers.鈥�

The South 啵啵直播秀 Art Museum at South 啵啵直播秀 State University will celebrate the immersive exhibition of 鈥淎nila Quayyum Agha: Shadows and Splendor鈥� with a day of programming on Saturday, Sept. 28. Agha will host a fine arts workshop on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. (registration required) and a free, public reception and artist talk from 5-7 p.m.

The South 啵啵直播秀 State University School of Performing Arts presents Sam Gowen in 鈥淢usic of the Night,鈥� a recital for horn, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center鈥檚 Founders Recital Hall.

The Brookings Chamber Music Society has announced its 2024-25 season and fall membership drive. Allied closely to the South 啵啵直播秀 State University School of Performing Arts, the society鈥檚 mission is to present the finest in chamber music for the enjoyment of the Brookings community.

Laura Diddle, the Paul E. and Doris J. Moriarty Endowed Professor of Choral Activities in the South 啵啵直播秀 State University School of Performing Arts, has received the Lifetime Achievement 啵啵直播秀 from the South 啵啵直播秀 American Choral Directors Association. Shawn Stemsrud, a 2022 SDSU graduate, received the association's Encore 啵啵直播秀, as did 2002 SDSU alum Janice Gilbert.

The South 啵啵直播秀 Art Museum at South 啵啵直播秀 State University has again achieved accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums, the highest national recognition afforded to the nation鈥檚 museums.
