A/B Duo to perform at SDSU

The South ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć State University School of Performing Arts presents the A/B Duo on Monday, Nov. 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.
From djembe to Nintendo Gameboy to contrabass flute to drum set, A/B Duoās no-limits instrumentation and imaginative concert programming have delighted audiences all over the United States. Made up of flutist Meerenai Shim and percussionist Christopher G. Jones, A/B Duo has made a mark for its āfresh, vibrant new musicā and ācommitment to widening the repertoire.ā (Fanfare Magazine)
The A/B Duo will join SDSU faculty Aaron Ragsdale and Elizabeth Robinson for a program featuring flute/percussion duos by Matthew Joseph Payne and Valerie Coleman, culminating with the South ą£ą£Ö±²„Šć premiere of Juri Seo's āBirds, Bees and Electric Fishā for two flutes and two percussion. One part concert, one part audio-visual experience, this performance will include acoustic instruments interacting with a Gameboy, music paired with visual art, whirly tubes, bubble wrap and slide whistles.
