Showcase Registration is Now Open
Calling all local artists! This event is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your talent, gain exposure and be a part of a community-driven celebration of the arts. It’s a chance to network with other artists, patrons and art enthusiasts who share your passion for creativity and innovation.
Showcase talent will receive two free tickets per person to attend the event.

Join us for the first annual "Arts at The Oscar" community arts celebration! This evening is designed to engage, recognize and showcase performing and visual artists, patrons and art enthusiasts.

Support a "Night of Stars," showcasing local artists of all ages who will flood the venue with their artistic talents.

6:30 p.m. – Local talent showcases

Headlining the Night
The final entertainment of the evening will feature the stars of "Hamilton: The Musical" and The Glenn Miller Orchestra – The Kings of Soul & Swing! Dancing will be highly encouraged!
Detailed Event Overview

To start the evening, guests will arrive at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center starting at 5:15 p.m. and will enjoy a social hour with appetizers and drinks. We will have local musicians playing live music in the lobby. At 6 p.m., guests will be escorted into the Oscar Larson Proscenium Theatre for an opening ceremony. The ceremony will welcome guests, awards for local recognition or awards for art will be presented, and the evening’s schedule of events will be presented. The opening ceremony will provide a launching point for the rest of the evening. 

Following the opening ceremony, the building will be flooded with performing and visual art showcases. Every venue space will have art displayed or performed by Brookings-area artists. We will have showcases broken out into age groups including 18 and younger and 19 and older.
