Speaker: Billie Sutton, former South à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã senator, founder of Billie Sutton Leadership Institute
Billie Sutton shares his powerful journey of resilience and transformation after a spinal cord injury ended his professional rodeo career. His story is a compelling testament to purpose and the impact of embracing the inherent strengths and abilities in all of us — showing how adversity can lead to empathy, innovation and meaningful leadership.

Uncommon Paths, Shared Strengths: Veterans in Higher Education
Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 12-1 p.m. in the Pheasant and Crest Room (SSU 253)
Transitioning from the structured world of the military to the dynamic environment of a university brings unique challenges. Panelists, who have walked these uncommon paths, will share their experiences navigating academic life, social adjustments, the GI Bill and how they apply their military-honed skills in civilian settings.
