Tradition. Excellence. Travel.

The School of Performing Arts is where Jackrabbits come to express themselves through music. SDSU students have been making music on campus for over 125 years.

Nothing beats learning how to teach from fantastic teachers! The School of Performing Arts as a whole is staffed with truly wonderful people. They make it clear that they genuinely care about us and our success. I feel like I could go to any of them with questions or concerns.

Health and Safety

There are musician-specific health and safety issues that students and professionals pursuing careers in music should be aware of. The Music Freshman Experience (MUS 109) course covers in greater detail the maintenance of hearing and musculoskeletal health and injury prevention.

The primary factor in your health and safety is you. Be responsible, make good choices and be informed.
