Graduate Mathematics and Statistics Programs

Driving the Decisions That Shape Our World

Mathematics, statistics and data science play key roles in helping us understand and make decisions to improve every part of our society.

Graduate Programs
All four programs offer students the opportunity to pursue graduate studies in a collegial environment with high faculty-student interaction and research activity, and are particularly effective at preparing graduates to work in business, industry or government as well as the more traditional area of higher education.

Accelerated Masters Degrees

SDSU undergraduate mathematics and data science majors may take 12 credits of graduate mathematics and statistics courses during their senior year, and count these credits towards both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The remaining credits needed to obtain the master’s then fit comfortably into one additional year of study.
