Theatre and Dance Scholarships

Prepare for your application by gathering these items:

  • Audition materials

  • Education info (school, GPA, test scores)

  • Accompaniment music (vocal in person only)

Theatre Performance Scholarship Requirements

Students auditioning for a theatre scholarship should prepare a two-minute audition. This audition must include either:

  • Two contrasting monologues (one serious and one comic).
  • One monologue and one song. If auditioning with a song, please bring your own sheet music with beginning, end and any cuts clearly marked. An accompanist will be provided on-site.

Theatre Design and Technology Scholarship Requirements

Students with an additional interest in an area of theatre design and technology will have the opportunity to interview with a faculty member. Please bring a portfolio with samples of your work (pictures, drawings, paperwork, etc.)

Dance Scholarship Auditions

Students will attend a modern/contemporary, hourlong master class (time TBD).

Students will then audition with a one- to two-minute prepared solo in ballet or modern/contemporary style.

Recorded Submission Auditions

Any student may submit a video recording of his/her performance by uploading a file to the application. The deadline for recorded submissions is 5 p.m. Feb. 24, 2026.
